Envelope method as applied to differential games and optimal control theory
Presenter: Ivanov Vladimir P. , Senior Researcher of SPC RAS.
Research Problem: Basics development at the synthesis of optimal and game control on a parametric family of singular curves, which allows for avoiding explicit solutions of boundary value problems, simplifying computational algorithms, and improving the quality of control under varying conditions.

Modeling of the management system for Hi-tech medical organizations based on intelligent data analysis platform
Presenter: Ilyashenko Victoriya Mikhailovna, Graduate Student of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University
Research Superviser: Ilyin Igor V., Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor.
Research Problem: As part of the approach, a system of performance indicators (SPIs) of a medical organization has been developed, and proposed to be monitored via an intelligent data analysis platform integrated into the IT architecture of a medical organization. This allows for accessing the goals achievability as set for the development of a Hi-tech medical organization, to enhance the efficiency and quality of managerial decision-making to preserve and improve the health of population.

SPIIRAS Researchers have developed a smart phone application that monitors the driver behavior in vehicle cabin in the road. In case application detects a drowsiness or distraction dangerous state, the system helps to return the driver to focus on road and generates recommendations depending on the situation on the road. The newly developed technique will reduce the likelihood of accidents occurring through the fault of the driver and will thereby save millions of lives all over the world. The Drive Safely free app is available for downloading on Google Play, and the research details can be found in IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems. The project received a support under the Russian Science Foundation.

"SPIIRAS Proceedings" journal was included into the TOP 100 Russian journals
The journal of the St. Petersburg Institute of Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences "SPIIRAS Proceedings"
was included in the List of 100 scientific journals selected for the implementation of development programs in 2018. The journal has been published since 2002, it is published six times a year. All published articles have a digital identifier DOI. Free online access to the full content of the journal is provided. Fee for the paper publication is not charged.
Since 2016, the magazine has entered the international database Scopus (Computer Science, Mathematics), CiteScoreTracker 2017 = 0.56; SJR 2017: 0,16.
Main topics of the journal:
1) artificial intelligence, data and knowledge engineering;
2) digital information and telecommunication technologies;
3) robotics, automation and control systems;
4) information security;
5) mathematical modeling and applied mathematics.
