Multimodal user interfaces in ambient intelligence: digital audio-visual signal processing, sound source localization, face and body tracking, distant speech recognition, inflective language processing, context representation, recognition and prediction of human behavior.

2008- now      Head of Speech and Multimodal Interfaces Laboratory of Saint-Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPIIRAS). Scientific secretary of Dissertation Council for Doctor of Sciences Degree of SPIIRAS. Member of the committee on East Europe of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA); member of the scientific committee of International Conference “Speech and Computer” SPECOM; member of the Academy of navigation and motion control; members of European Association “OpenInterface”. Supervisor of 3 PhD students. Assistant professor of robotics faculty of St. Petersburg University of airspace instrumentation.
